This is kind of a companion blog to "Bricks jukebox from hell." It's always disappointing when an artist you enjoy puts outy a lame product. Here are a few of my disappointments...

Good Artists Gone Badi am sure this has been posted, but I can never ever forgive Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood for their overly slick debacles in the mid 80s .... for crissakes Clapton put out a remake of his own remake ( how much more lazier can you be ??) thanks to those two , i couldn't find an open pool table for a good 2 1/2 years thanks to douches with their slicked back hair and MGDs !!!! Bleccchh....... and U2 sux so bad too, Joshua Tree was just gross and every other song they have put out since grows mouldy after a listen and 2/3 of the next listen. If you were too young to remember ... My God, consider yourself lucky.... |

Good Artists Gone BadI have always loved the Beatles, but Oh! Darling is, in my opinion, one of their worst. Abbey Road is a great album, but I refuse to sit through that song. Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Travelin' Band" is an absolutely incomprehensible mess. At least it's short. |

Good Artists Gone BadHey MJ, I gotta disagree withyou on Eric Clapton. I really liked Tears In HeavenThat's the best thing about music, Colts. We both have our opinion, and neither is invalidated by the other. I admire Clapton for writing that song, but for whatever reason, it has never moved me.

Good Artists Gone BadI don't know if this qualifies Mj but when Rush did the soundtrack to Heavy Metal 2000 I banished them to the back of the rack for a whole month. Such a subjective thing does not require qualification, Sadur. I'm not familiar with the Heavy Metal 2000 soundtrack, but I loved the original. Heavy Metal(Takin' a Ride) was one of my favorites, as well as Workin' in a Coalmine by Devo (which I didn't realize 'til years later was a cover. |

Good Artists Gone BadIf Chicago had not done "If You Leave Me Now" we would not have had the classic scene from Three Kings when Spike Jonz and the Iraqi guy were driving into battle with that cd playing. The title song they did for Summer Lovers was pretty bad.

Good Artists Gone BadHey MJ, cool blog. I'm kind of late posting, better late than never I guess. I'm going to go with Steve Perry. When he performed with Journey he was awesome. I bought his greatest hits in '99 and was shocked, After Oh Sherrie the rest of the album was mediocre at best.
